Wadhurst Castle Weddings
Exclusive Elegant Weddings at Wadhurst Castle
Wadhurst Castle is a secluded country estate on the edge of the High Weald in East Sussex—surrounded by rolling hills, sweeping lawns, and views that go on for miles. It’s a private venue with a sense of grandeur, offering exclusive use of the entire castle and gardens for your wedding day.
As someone who specialises in cinematic wedding videography across Sussex and beyond to the UK and Europe, Wadhurst Castle is a place I return to often. As a recommended wedding supplier to Wadhurst Castle I love the castle's light-filled rooms, rich architectural detail, and open landscapes that make it a remarkable setting to film a wedding within.
If you are looking for an elegant, timeless and visually striking wedding film, then combining my editorial style wedding films with your wedding day at Wadhurst Castle is the perfect combination.
Cinematic & Editorial Videography for Your Wadhurst Castle Wedding
Wadhurst Castle’s structure and setting lends itself perfectly to cinematic storytelling through film, especially when combined with my signature editorial approach. The emotional moments here build beautifully—from morning preparations to your ceremony on the lawn, followed by golden hour portraits on the terrace all the way through to an epic after party. Wedding videography works so well here because theres so much to explore and take in, giving a wide array of visually beautiful moments and scenes before you’ve even started to add in your personalities.
With an editorial, intentional style, I’ll capture the emotion and energy of your day while making the most of the changing scenery and light. Whether it's soft sunlight over the hills or candlelight inside the castle, every part of your celebration contributes to a visual narrative that feels true to you. With the privilege of being a recommended wedding videographer by Wadhurst Castle, I work closely with its events team to ensure you have a seamless experience and we get the very best footage for your wedding day.
Throughout this page dedicated to this luxurious Sussex wedding venue, you’ll find examples of my previous wedding videography work that will show you just how stunning a wedding film from Wadhurst Castle could be.
“Luke, where do I even begin?! You are the most talented videographer out there, not only do you capture weddings so perfectly but your presence and professionalism is impeccable. I am so grateful we had you film our special day.
The service you provided is of the highest of standards, you go out of your way to make sure we got the best experience possible. I will be recommending you to everyone I know that’s getting married!
From the bottom of my heart - thank you, I am so grateful to have met you and for the films you have created for us. Once again, thank you thank you thank you!!”

5 Things That Make Wadhurst Castle Special
Sweeping Views Over the Sussex Countryside
The castle is positioned high on the hill, with panoramic views that are stunning in every season—ideal for drone footage and golden hour portraits. I love flying the drone out away from the castle before turning it around and filming close to the ground as a unique angle, before flying up high and showing the surrounding miles and miles of Sussex that surround it.
Elegant Interiors, Period Features, Modern Chic
The grand staircase, wood-panelled rooms, and refined drawing rooms offer warmth and sophistication, creating atmosphere without needing extra decor. With the new barn outbuilding that hosts your wedding breakfast you get a truly unique blend of old-world architecture and grandeur, and new modern chic that comes together to create a really interesting visual experience in your wedding film.
Secluded and Exclusive
Wadhurst Castle is not open to the public. The entire estate is yours for the day, allowing for an uninterrupted flow and private experience on film. Whether your day is being run by the amazing team at the castle, or by your own wedding planner, you can rest easy in the knowledge that the entire venue is yours for the day and that we can create something truly special together for your wedding film.
Versatile Ceremony Options
From indoor ceremonies to outdoor setups beneath the stone portico or in the gardens, every option is equally elegant and easy to film beautifully. Personally, I love the outdoor ceremonies on the lawn in the walled garden- theres something very secluded, mystical and intimate about them. With so much space, it’s always a joy to film a ceremony there.
Beautiful Garden Spaces
As I mentioned, the gardens feel intimate yet expansive—perfect for relaxed drinks receptions, spontaneous laughter, and guest moments that make the film personal. Add in those rolling hillside views off of the front lawn for your family portraits and you’ve got some real magic for your wedding day.
What I Love About Wadhurst Castle Weddings
Wadhurst Castle already feels like a story unfolding, and as a wedding videographer all I have to do is add in your personality to your wedding film. Every space leads naturally into the next, making the transitions between key moments effortless from a filmmaking perspective and also means that the flow of your day is sublime.
The light here is particularly good—whether that’s soft morning light inside the castle, shaded garden portraits in summer, or cosy interiors in winter. It’s a place where I can step back and allow genuine moments to unfold naturally. I love using this natural light in my editorial wedding films- it always makes for incredible footage for your wedding film.
Having filmed here many times before and being a recommended supplier, I know the castle well. I know where the best angles are for the ceremony, how the sunset spreads over the grounds, and how to capture the atmosphere of the evening without being intrusive- something i place a huge emphasis on as your wedding videographer.
“Luke has really made the way we will look back on that day so much more meaningful to us. His unique way of story-telling and working with the speeches and candid moments throughout the day is fantastic.
I have had countless friends and family say that ours is the best wedding video and that they’ve never seen anything like it.”
