Emily & Aaron: Australia to Singapore to London
This is what destination wedding filmmaking means to me: understanding where people have come from, why they have gathered and what this particular place represents to the couple.
Emily and Aaron live in Singapore, with Emily originally from Australia and Aaron from the UK. Their wedding at Shangri-La The Shard brought friends and family together in London from different parts of the world.
Their story gave the film a natural sense of journey. London was more than a backdrop: it became the meeting point between their lives, families and shared future.
The film moves between the stillness of the ceremony, portraits through London Bridge and Tower Bridge, the changing city light and an evening celebration overlooking the skyline. Throughout it all, the focus remains on the people who travelled to share the day with them.

When the destination is the UK
A destination wedding does not have to mean a British couple travelling overseas. Britain is itself the destination for many couples who live abroad, have families in different countries or want to bring an international guest list together in one meaningful place.
I have experience filming precisely these kinds of celebrations.
A transatlantic celebration in Kent
Caroline and Max’s wedding brought together personal histories, families and influences from the opposite side of the Atlantic.
Held within a private family setting in Kent, the celebration combined a strong connection to Britain with details reflecting their international story. The result was deeply personal: not a wedding designed around a generic destination, but one shaped by the lives they had built and the people joining them.
From Dubai to the Devon coast
For a wedding at Tunnels Beaches in Devon, the couple travelled from their home in Dubai and brought an international group of friends and family with them.
The coastline, cliffs and changing light gave the film a strong sense of place, but its real identity came from the people who had travelled to celebrate together. It was both a return to Britain and a gathering shaped by the couple’s life overseas.

Planning a wedding from overseas requires suppliers who communicate clearly and understand that decisions may be made across countries, schedules and time zones.
The process begins with a conversation about your location, plans, priorities and the people at the centre of the celebration. From there, I work collaboratively with your planner, photographer, venue and wider team to understand the schedule and identify the moments that matter most.
Planning calls can be arranged around your time zone. Travel requirements are researched in advance, costs are agreed clearly and the practical arrangements are handled without creating additional work for you.
You should feel confident about the process long before the wedding begins.

My approach does not depend on having repeatedly worked at the same venue. Every wedding begins with careful research into the location, movement of the day, available light, travel requirements and any local considerations affecting the production.
For couples based in Britain, I provide a UK point of contact throughout the planning process. For couples living overseas and marrying in Britain, I offer the same considered approach, with communication organised around where you are based.

Having one creative team means the visual direction, communication and planning remain connected. Portrait time can be used efficiently, the coverage works together and the resulting photographs and film share the same considered character.
This is particularly valuable for celebrations involving multiple events, changing locations or tightly managed schedules. Instead of two separate teams competing for time, everything is approached as one body of work.
