ABOUT LUKE BATCHELOR
A calm eye for the moments you never want to lose.
I am Luke, a Kent-based wedding filmmaker and photographer creating cinematic, editorial wedding films across the UK, Europe and destination celebrations. My work is shaped by people first- the way they speak, move, laugh, hold each other and react when the day becomes real.
Acclaimed by LoveStories TV as “One of the Top Wedding Videographers in the UK”, my signature wedding film work delves far deeper than simple documentation. It’s about unearthing the true stories and individual nuances of each of my couples, in order to tell their story in the most authentic, meaningful and timeless way possible.
PEOPLE BEFORE CAMERAS
The experience matters as much as the finished film.
Being filmed or photographed can feel vulnerable, especially on a day filled with expectation, emotion and movement. My approach is built around making that experience feel natural. I guide when direction is helpful, step back when the moment needs space, and keep the day feeling like your wedding rather than a production.
That balance is what allows the film to feel polished without becoming performative, emotional without becoming forced, and cinematic without losing the truth of the day. It’s people first, cameras second. Always.
A DIFFERENT KIND OF CALM
Composed under pressure, gentle in the room, concise in decisions.
Before wedding filmmaking, I spent fourteen years in the British Army. I took on and experienced many roles in that time that shape the way I work now: prepared, aware, calm under pressure and able to adapt quickly without bringing stress into the room.
More than these skills however is the compassion, understanding, resilience and adaptability that comes with operating in harsh environments around the globe. These experiences, I believe, have served me extremely well when it comes to working behind the lens, understanding what is important and valuable, and transforming that into a unique storytelling wedding film.
Weddings move quickly. Timelines shift, light changes, speeches run over and emotions arrive without warning. My role is to stay composed, protect the experience and keep noticing what matters.
CREATING THE FILMS
Films that feel effortless, personal and entirely yours.
I created Luke Batchelor Productions in 2018 to craft emotive, story-driven wedding films that feel deeply personal without ever making the experience feel awkward or intrusive.
For me, wedding filmmaking is about connection. Whether your celebration is elegant and timeless, fine art in style, black tie in aesthetic or something entirely your own, I would be honoured to tell your story. From Kent and London to weddings across the UK, Europe and beyond, I feel incredibly fortunate to capture people in some of the world’s most beautiful settings and turn those moments into films they can feel for a lifetime.
PASSING ON MY EXPERIENCES
Mentoring wedding filmmakers who want to create with more intention.
Alongside filming weddings, I also offer training and mentoring for wedding videographers who want to refine their craft, strengthen their storytelling and create films that feel more considered, cinematic and emotionally led. My approach is practical, honest and experience-based, shaped by years of working with real couples, real wedding days and the pressures that come with capturing once-in-a-lifetime moments.
It is about understanding why certain choices matter, how to make stronger decisions in the moment, and how to produce wedding films that connect more deeply with the people they are made for.
BEHIND THE LENS
Connecting away from lenses and cameras.
Away from cameras, weddings and filmmaking, I live in Kent with my wife and 3 children. Family is a huge part of my life, and much of what I value in wedding films comes from that same appreciation for connection, memory and the moments that matter most.
I have always loved to travel and have been fortunate to visit some incredible places, from Jordan and Costa Rica to Iceland, Thailand, Italy, France and beyond. Outside of filmmaking, you’ll usually find me following Formula 1, sim racing, lifting in the gym or listening to music.
