Leez Priory Wedding Videography & Photography

Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Leez Priory in Essex, Rachel and Canol’s wedding was a masterclass in timeless elegance and emotional depth. With its Tudor architecture, expansive grounds, and romantic winter atmosphere, this venue was the perfect stage for a wedding filled with heartfelt moments. I had the pleasure of capturing both the wedding film and photography, ensuring that every element of their day was preserved in both motion and still imagery.

Why Leez Priory Is Perfect for a Stylish, Emotional Wedding

Leez Priory is a venue that instantly elevates a wedding day. From the imposing historical façade to the cosy, candlelit interiors, it’s a location that offers both grandeur and intimacy. The Tudor tower, lakeside lawns, and walled gardens provide multiple cinematic backdrops that lend themselves effortlessly to beautiful visual storytelling—especially in the winter months when the light is low, golden, and dramatic. Whether you're planning an indoor ceremony or braving a winter’s chill for dramatic outdoor portraits, Leez Priory accommodates both with elegance and charm.

Capturing Rachel and Canol’s Story in Film & Photography

For Rachel and Canol, every detail mattered—from the heartfelt letter readings before the ceremony to the dramatic sparkler exit late into the evening. As both their videographer and photographer (with the help of an associate on the photography side), I ensured that nothing was missed. I took the lead in crafting a seamless flow between stills and motion, so the gallery and the film work hand-in-hand to reflect the same emotion, atmosphere, and editorial tone. Having creative control over both formats allowed me to maintain consistent lighting, composition, and storytelling, giving Rachel and Canol a beautifully cohesive result.

As always, my role was more than just filming. I worked closely with the couple and their vendors throughout the day—helping with lighting decisions and ensuring we captured clean audio from the ceremony and speeches, which played such a vital part in the final edit. The Orakci’s wanted to focus their attention on their friends and family, ensuring they had an amazing time celebrating with them and so we worked quickly and efficiently to get the results we needed, as well as give them both the day they wanted.

My Favourite Wedding Moment

As Rachel & Canol were announced into their wedding breakfast, the entire room erupted. As everyone cheered and clapped the arrival of the new Mr & Mrs Orakci, the joy on their faces was something to behold and perfectly summed up theyir incredible wedding day at leez Priory.

“The cinematic way in which he films and edits all his wedding videos was just a perfect fit for us.

For most of the time we forgot we were even being filmed, so we were truly ourselves without any nervousness! He managed to capture every emotion and caught so many little candid moments that were just a joy to re-live.

His professionalism, care and general gentle persona leaves you at ease throughout the entire process and the finished product was truly incredible.”
