One wedding. Two ways to return to it.
Set between the Moroccan Courtyard, the Glass Orangery and the Ground of Port Lympne, Lucy & Luke’s wedding had a warmth that never needed to be manufactured. It was elegant, personal and full of the people who have shaped their lives together.
I led the filmmaking and creative direction, with photography created alongside me by my associate team. Working as one coordinated photo and film team gave the day room to breathe: portraits happened naturally, moments were never recreated for separate cameras, and Lucy and Luke could stay with their guests rather than being pulled away from the celebration.

The film is shaped round the day as it felt: the anticipation before the ceremony, the warmth of the people around them, the character of Port Lympne and the celebration that followed.

Combined coverage is not about receiving the same moment twice. It is about preserving different parts of the same memory with a shared understanding of what matters.
For Lucy & Luke, that meant one calm team working to one plan. The photography could follow the gestures, fashion and family connections that deserved to live as photographs. The film could listen for vows, speeches, laughter and the atmosphere between those moments. Neither interrupted the other, and the finished work carries the same visual language throughout.
A PORT LYMPNE WEDDING IN SUMMERTIME

The day began with quiet preparations inside the Mansion, where the character of Port Lympne is already everywhere: rich interiors, painted wildlife murals and light moving through old windows. Outside, the permanent ceremony pergola was transformed with abundant white flowers, soft greenery and the kind of considered detail that made the setting feel intimate rather than formal.

Port Lympne offers an extraordinary contrast between refined interiors and the landscape beyond them. Lucy and Luke took a short safari through the reserve, followed by a few unhurried portraits around the estate. Nothing was over-directed. The aim was simply to give them a little space together and make imagery that belonged to the day they were already having.
Later, the Mansion corridors, tree-lined paths and Kent views brought a quieter, more cinematic chapter before the evening gathered pace again in the Orangery.

After confetti on the steps, the celebration moved into the Glass Orangery. Its light-filled structure gave the reception a completely different energy: relaxed, open and alive with conversation.
This was a wedding built around people. There were embraces, stories shared over the tables, laughter during the speeches and the easy rhythm of a room that knew it was there to celebrate two people it loved. The stills preserve the details, styling and expressions; the film lets the speeches, movement and atmosphere return in full.
